Grand

BIO
"DLUG0SZ, piano maker in Warsaw. He
invented a new instrument called aeolopantalon in 1825. It was a kind of
organ, with a great variety of tones. According to the music newspaper
Lipska, it was similar to Brunner's aeolomelodicon instrument. Fr.
Szopen played on it, and at the concert given in Warsaw, choirs from
Faust, ks. Radziwill, they were accompanied by this aeolopantalon and
they did a great deal, as well as cantata, Elsner's compositions."
